About Me

Hola! Bonjour! Benvenuto! Willkommen! Holla holla holla!

That's all I've got.
[Really? That's all?]

Wait, no it isn't.
Hi! My name is Haley.
[I figured that out already.]

I write blogs.
[Yeah, duh.]
Ugh. Okay.

Welcome to Home to Catholicism. I started this blog in October 2012 to document my journey through RCIA and beyond. I learned a lot. I went to confession. I affirmed my intention to continue converting. I made friends. I finally joined the Church!

Basically, a lot has happened since I began and I'm still going.

[Haley. I read your blog. I know all this. Tell me something else.]

Wow, pushy. Okay. Here are some random but totally awesome things about me:
  • I will happily eat peanut butter in any form, especially on ice cream (which I will eat even in 7 degree January).
  • I studied psychology and philosophy in school but want to study history, English, French, cooking, medicine and art also. So many interests, so little time.
  • I desperately want a dog. My best friend for years was a German shepherd. A border collie or great dane would also make me immensely happy.
  • I would love to live in a small town outside of London. It fulfills my anglophile dreams, allows me to be close to an exciting, large city and gives me no excuse not to make day trips to Pierre Herme in Paris for macarons.
  • My favorite book series will probably always be Harry Potter. You want proof? I wore a jean jacket with "Harry Potter" emblazoned on the pocket in spiky writing for my school photograph. Two years in a row. You want photographic proof? Not gonna happen.
[You're a weirdo.]
I know.

    1. I have a Gryffindor scarf too! I wear it (pretty frequently, but also) for Halloween when I don't know what else to dress as: super easy Hermione costume. ;)
